The Right Coffee Maker for your Cup of Coffee
Are you the person who believes that the coffee maker or machine is not enough for your cup of coffee?
Many believe that the only way to get a great cup of coffee is with freshly ground coffee beans. There are grinders that come as a separate unit, but are sold a unit, such as the Rancilio Rocky (Doser or Doserless) and the Rancilio Silvia. There are other machines that come with a built-in coffee grinder. These include the Bosch Benvenutos and Saeco Incanto, Odea, Royal and Talea machines. These options create more choices for your perfect cup of coffee.
Last, but not least, is a coffee roaster. A friend of mine roasts a small amount of “green” beans with a small bean roaster. She and I agree there is no better tasting coffee than fresh roasted, freshly ground coffee beans in our favorite brewing machine. Again, with all these choices you need to keep your budget in mind.
Next week, I’m not sure, but I have some ideas.

The Rocky Doser is made of the same light blue tinted, molded plastic. The handy dosing lever, which is right in front, dispenses approximately 7 grams of ground coffee of your choice with each quick click of the lever. The Rocky Doser grinder measuring 13.75” H x 5.25” W x 9.75” D is only slightly larger than the doserless, which is 13.75”H x 4.5”W x 9.5”D. Both grinders weigh 17 pounds. Unlimited free technical support using a toll free number comes with every grinder, whether for household or commercial use.
Final details about the Rocky Doser on Monday. Hint: it about measurements.

The specifications for the Rancilio Rocky Doserless and Doser grinders say a lot about the Rocky. One of the most important aspects for a commercial grinder is the grinding burrs. The Rocky grinding burrs are long-lasting commercial quality 50mm steel that run quietly, powerfully and safely. Both grinders have 55 different grind settings from coarse to fine powder. A thermal protection safety devise shuts down the grinding mechanism automatically should it jam or become overheated. The power they pull is 166 watts at 120 volts, which is equivalent to a little more than two 75 watt light bulbs on standard household current. Both are brushed stainless steel with a black front. The 10 ounce coffee bean hopper is made of a light blue tinted see-through plastic. There’s more on the specifications coming tomorrow.
