What Happened to Coffee in America?
What happened to coffee in America was the result of what happened to coffee centuries earlier. There are many stories about the history of where coffee was first found and prepared for human consumption. Although coffee was prepared and brewed many different ways through the centuries, it still remained the coffee coming from Africa and the surrounding area. Around 1720, coffee was taken to places around the world to be grown. However, it was not until coffee had come to America that it was sold as a pre-flavored, a mixed blend of beans or as decaffeinated coffee by different brand names.
