Espresso Coffee

Lavazza Qualita Oro is another premium coffee for a slow evening at home. This coffee is truly a premium selection of the best Arabica beans. It is a blend that is aromatic, yet extremely sweet & yet full-bodied. It is a coffee to be sipped slowly and enjoyed just for its robust full flavor and sweetness. These Arabica beans come from Brazil where most of the great coffee beans come from today. Central America, Indonesia and the Malay Peninsula also offer distinct Arabia beans to enjoy.

Qualita Oro coffee comes as an 8.8 ounce can of whole beans. When you grind them, do so in small quantities as grinding them diminishes the flavor of the coffee faster. Keep all coffee in a dry cool place.  Qualita Oro also comes ground in an 8.8 ounce can. Try this coffee some cool evening. Its sweet taste is sure to warm your taste buds and your heart.

Espresso Coffee

Espresso coffee means unique flavors that satisfy the taste “buds. Since Lavazza has flavors to satisfy different tastes, I am going to suggest another one for this time of year. Lavazza Café Espresso is an ideal espresso coffee. This coffee can be called a long coffee for its flavor. “Long coffees” are manually picked by hand to get only the very best beans possible. The end result is a 100% Arabica blend of the highest quality beans with a smooth coffee flavor with an enticing aroma that is fragrant and aromatic. Savor a cup by the fire on a cool evening and enjoy a “long time” delight.

Lavazza Café Espresso comes as ground in a ½ lb. can. This is a true espresso coffee and should be made in an espresso machine or a moka espresso machine.

Espresso Coffee

Espresso Coffee to me means coffee that expresses itself with a very distinct flavor. Lavazza has done that for many years with its flavored espresso coffees. Do like a spicy coffee with a sweet taste as well. Gran Filtro Dark Roast is a blend of 100% Arabica full-bodied Brazilian beans combined with aromatic and spicy Indian coffees. The dark roasting enhances the strength and body of these origins producing an intense and persistent aftertaste with a hint of sweet caramel. This coffee comes as whole beans or ground coffee in a brick format that is sealed immediately after being filled for freshness of taste. The ground is made for a drip coffee maker. I like this taste of spices mixed caramel.

This coffee is to be enjoyed after a dinner. One or two cups per person is just the right amount to drink so that the taste will linger. So, I recommend a smaller drip coffee maker as reheating this coffee is not a good option. Brew, pour and enjoy.

Espresso Coffee and Moka Maker

Since the idea of Spiced coffee and Harvest coffee are still in my mind, I thought we might talk about flavored espresso coffee. The best flavored espresso coffee comes from Italy. It is shipped to New York where I get it from the only wholesaler I know that handles it. Espresso coffee can be made in an espresso machine or in a regular coffee maker. However, if you want the true espresso flavor, it is best if it is made in a Moka espresso coffee maker. This type of coffee maker is found in almost every Italian home. Delonghi, an Italian coffee making company, offers an electric Moka espresso maker that looks like the ones in Italy. This espresso maker is easy to use and makes up to 6 cups. The best part it is we also have Lavazza flavored espresso coffees.

Click on “Lavazza” and check out the different coffee flavors. They are sure to please every coffee drinker whether one who just likes coffee to one who considers themselves a connoisseur. Offer your taste buds a delight in coffee taste.

Coffee Recipes for the Fall Season

Harvest Coffee Cider

  • • ¼ cup coffee grounds
  • • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • • ¼ cup brown sugar or honey
  • • 1 cup apple juice
  • • 3 cups cold water

Place coffee and cinnamon in brew basket of coffee maker. Place sugar and apple juice in the bottom of the coffee pot. Add water to coffee maker and brew. When brewing is complete, stir until well mixed. This recipe tends to be a little messy, so using powder DIP-IT is especially helpful when cleaning the stains off your carafe and brewing basket and for always attaining the best tasting coffee. For cleaning the water circulation system, use the liquid form.

Maple Harvest Coffee

  • • 1/2 cup of half-n-half
  • • 2 tablespoons of syrup
  • • 2 teaspoons raw sugar

Pour water into water tank of your coffee maker. Place filter and coffee in filter basket and brew. Place 1/2 cup of half-n-half and 2 tablespoons of syrup in a 10 ounce mug and heat for 30-40 seconds in microwave on 50% power. Dispense coffee into mug over heated mixture. Stir 2 teaspoons raw sugar, if desired.

Serves: Eight 10 oz servings

Spiced Coffee

  • • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • • 6 whole cloves
  • • 6 Tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • • Cream, optional

Pour water into water tank. Place filter and coffee in filter basket. Place cinnamon sticks and cloves in top of coffee and brew. Place 1 Tablespoons of dark brown sugar in each mug. Dispense coffee into mug and stir. Add cream if desired.

Let me know what you think of these drinks for fall.

Schedule your Time

This last week I had company from out of town. At the same time it was time to go to the fair for a whole day. The following day, Sunday, meant going to visit people for part of the day with my company. Monday was laundry day and getting things done before they left. How does one run a full time business and get things done on time. First, set back and get a cup of your favorite coffee or tea. Second, look over your priorities and make a time list for all the activities involved over a set period of time and write them down. Set up a loose time schedule and stick to it as much as possible. Remember, do not allow yourself to get frustrated or anxious. This is a real time killer and not a healthy mental activity. Put your mind to what you need to do and follow through. This may sound like a simple exercise, but follow through is essential for peace of mind.

The cup of herbal tea I had while seriously looked over my priorities was great. I made it hot so that I would sip it and not rush my thinking. Look over your schedule of priorities with a cup of hot tea made with an electric tea kettle. I like the one that brightens up my kitchen.

Shuttles

22 September;  Author: Mrs. Coffee

These are two different styles of shuttels that usually sit on a warmer on in a stand. These shuttles can keep coffee hot for hours by themselves or much longer with a warmer that goes with each individual unit.

Shuttles

What are shuttles? They are sophisticated airpots. Shuttles are connected to there respective coffee brewers and come in various sizes. The shuttles are air-gap insulated or vacuum insulate and hold either 1.5 gallons or come as a 3 liter airpot. The brewers brew into there respective shuttle airpots that are a digitally controlled radiant heat air insulated shuttle or a vacuum insulated shuttle. Shuttles come in various shapes to match there brewers. Some shuttles are round, rigidly square or have a rounded square shape. All of them are made of stainless steel. These shuttle airpots are designed to be placed at designated areas where there are no electric connections or an area where serving decanters can be filled.

Decanters, Airpots and Airpot Racks

We have all heard these terms, but how are they defined by the commercial industry. Decanters are for the most part glass coffee containers.  When they are used for homes, we call them carafes or glass coffee pots. These glass coffee containers need a warmer of some kind to keep the coffee hot. For household use, some coffee makers offer a warming plate to keep the coffee hot with the coffee maker. For commercial purposes, single double and triple warming plates are available in multiple configurations when the coffee maker does not provide a surface to keep the decanter warm or the decanter needs to be in another place to serve the coffee.

Airpots are vacuum insulated thermo-glass lined containers that maintain the temperature of a hot or cold beverage for up to eight hours. Some have lever or push top to dispense the beverage. These 2.2 liter size airpots fit in airport racks that have a number of configurations and may or may include a place for condiments or a fresh coffee sign.

Airpots also come with a black push top or push lever or come with an orange push top or orange lever to denote either decaf coffee or another beverage such as tea or cider.

All 2.2 liter airpots swivel for convenience to the customer or user such as a waitress.

Last is a 3 liter size airpot. This size only comes with a push top and is used to serve coffee at a remote station or by a server at a large gathering.

 Morning Coffee Idea

Today, so many people are getting serious about loosing weight. Here is one great way to add to your progress. Brew your morning coffee in a drip coffee maker with a cinnamon stick or vanilla bean in with the grounds and ditch the flavored creamers. Just 1 tablespoon of flavored creamer can add 6 grams of sugar. Actually, there are 200 grams of sugar in one cup, which makes 6 grams 2.5% of a cup of sugar.

If you feel you need some sugar in your coffee no matter what. I suggest you put a cinnamon stick in a jar of sugar with a tight lid. It flavors the sugar and adds 0 grams, but the taste of 1 teaspoon of this cinnamon flavored sugar will taste like a whole tablespoon of creamer with only 2 grams of sugar… and it will taste even better. Enjoy!   P.S.  There are no artificial ingrediants in these recipes.
