One of the main featurs of all the one-hand dispensing coffee makers is how easy they are to use. The top lid opens to the coffee tank which you can take out. Today, a look at Model 47454 BrewStation Deluxe 12 cup Coffeemaker and Model 48465 the BrewStation Summit Ultra 12 cup. The Deluxe comes with a water filter and gold-tone filter basket while the Summit Ultra does not. The Deluxe has four brewing settings: regular, flavor plus for bold coffee, choice of 1 to 4 cups brewing amount and iced coffee. The Summit Ultra has four brewing settings; bold, regular, iced coffee and small-batch options. The Deluxe and the Summit Ultra both have an auto shutoff that can be adjusted from 0, used for *iced coffee, to 4 hours. Model 80674R replacement water filter is used in the Deluxe coffeemaker. Like the Summit Ultra this coffee maker has a programmable clock-timer to have your coffee ready when you want it day or night. Both have an insulated tank to keep your coffee tasting fresh, the Deluxe also has a gentle warming heater.
Although these two BrewStations do not look alike, they do offer similar features. The Deluxe has a large back-lit digital clock set in stainless steel in the front at the top. The Summit Ultra’s entire front is accented with stainless steel and has a large back-lit digital clock right above the dispensing unit.
Again, both coffee makers have completely different designs, yet both offer similar features. In the end, the Deluxe is more deluxe than the Summit Ultra.

Why does Hamilton Beach have six different 12 cup BrewStation coffee makers? Let’s look at the differences. The model 47665 and the model 47214 appear to be about the same, except for there design. They do look quite different.
Looking closer, however, we note that Model 47665 is called the BrewStation Plus 12 cup with a Timer. The programmable back-lit clock lets you set a time to brew your coffee. Once brewed, your coffee will keep that freshly brewed taste due to its insulated tank design. Model 47214, called the BrewStation with Timer, on the other hand has not only an insulated tank but has a gentle heater that will keep your coffee tasting freshly brewed for hours.
Both models are one-hand dispensing that eliminate spills and are programmable with a two hour shutoff. They also use the same replacement water filter part (80674R) and the same permanent gold-tone filter part (80675R) available through Hamilton Beach.com. These are not included in the original purchase.

This Hamilton Beach model 47214 is the original BrewStation® design that revolutionized the way people drink coffee. The brewing system itself is a double-walled thermal system that is also an enclosed brewing system. The coffeemaker also has a gentle warming heater as well to keep your coffee at just the right temperature for drinking. There are no hot plates to scorch the coffee flavor. Another feature of the model 47214 is the clock timer with a 2 hour auto shutoff to not only stop keeping the coffee warm after it has warmed the coffee long enough and is now becoming bitter to the taste.
