The specifications for the Rancilio Rocky Doserless and Doser grinders say a lot about the Rocky. One of the most important aspects for a commercial grinder is the grinding burrs. The Rocky grinding burrs are long-lasting commercial quality 50mm steel that run quietly, powerfully and safely. Both grinders have 55 different grind settings from coarse to fine powder. A thermal protection safety devise shuts down the grinding mechanism automatically should it jam or become overheated. The power they pull is 166 watts at 120 volts, which is equivalent to a little more than two 75 watt light bulbs on standard household current. Both are brushed stainless steel with a black front. The 10 ounce coffee bean hopper is made of a light blue tinted see-through plastic. There’s more on the specifications coming tomorrow.
