Cleancaf Cleaner & Descaler
Cleancaf Descaler is a product that the Urnex Company has developed. It is easy to use and a non-toxic cleaner and scale remover for your coffee maker and espresso machine. To use, simply dissolve the citric-acid based powder in warm water and add it to the coffee machine’s water reservoir. The solution gently works on the buildup until it is dissolved. When this is done fill the water tank on your machine with fresh water and flush through the system. We recommend you use it every three months when you use your espresso machine or coffee maker on a regular basis. If you have especially hard water, we recommend using it more often, especially if you start to see a white build up on your coffee maker or espresso machine.
Each packet of cleaner is sufficient for one cleaning. Urnex Cleancaf comes 3 packets to a box and 4 boxes to a case. Cleancaf is recommended for all types of coffee makers, espresso machines and appliances that heat water, including irons, steamers and electric cordless kettles. Electric kettles often have an enclosed heating area; however, cleaning your electric kettle will keep the water sweeter.
Hard water and lime scale can do serious damage to coffee makers and espresso machines in a short time. Build up on the boiler prevents it from heating properly and lime deposits can clog up water lines. Left untreated they can cause machine failure.
